Restaurant Scala in Chemnitz

Delicious food, friendly service, nice and cozy ambience.

In the restaurant you get as well as: friendly and brisk waiters. This restaurant has real potential to become my next favorite. The tables from the restaurant were immaculately cleaned and the chairs were particularly comfortable. Most of the taste is a delight. The quantities are an appealing and filling quantity.

The restaurant completely blew us away. Good cost performance ratio. I can highly recommend the restaurant! The decorations on the tables and in the whole restaurant is appropriate and tasteful. The bathroom is always clean and all in all the restaurant gives a very good impression. Fast and polite service. I think that all the local staff did a good job there.

We generally liked it. Only the cumbersome reservation was a bit annoying.

We ate here at the Scala for the first time today and that was really great. From the Alpinum menus we have each chosen 3 dishes. Each excellent as a recipe, in taste and presentation. Great kitchen and as a menu absolutely worth its price. We recommend.

Overbearing service and mediocre food

ATTENTION ⛔️ UNFRIENDLY + ABSOLUTE FREEDOM! As a longtime customer of restaurant and hotel, I've seen a lot of strange staff come and go - and overlooked a lot. The quality of the food was always mixed. Sorbet was once brought to me as hard as a stone, and on reclamation the same thing. Given. The location is very nice, the service is often beyond good and evil. Training of employees in guest handling is nil. Private opinions are carried to the outside, absolutely unprofessional. You feel as a guest as a disturbing foreign body. Questions are answered eye rolls and it is only reluctantly to normal requests in the restaurant category. Due to the lack of alternative in Chemnitz in the center, we still came back from time to time. Looking back, one should have avoided the whole object for years. An error. Small example of the service ?: Can I have the wine list, please? Answer: You know our wine list Mr. X! At the last visit the total escalation: We drove up with the family with both children, jump two employees hastily to the restaurant door. When empty Restaurant seems to have enough time to watch everything at the window. I'm told that they would give me a house ban because of the action. Whereupon no action was known to me. On demand, it was said because my daughter had bumped her head while playing, which was "hardcore" and you could not tolerate this - absolutely ridiculous - just like the whole store. A request, if my child is well, of course not. Instead house prohibition - imagine that ☺️ I do not really have to write the restaurant, because it's always empty anyway :-) _______________________ addendum: So you deal with guests who pay their wages for years. Granting a home ban because a child is injured can not be overstated by absurdity. Of course that was not the real reason. It just bothered you to have me as a guest. But to tell me directly, they were too cowardly for that. You would be better advised to look for a job without customer contact - maybe at the Volkswagen Band :-)

Worst food for a long time. Pumpkin tarte flambée actually not edible, bland etc. There were four of us and everyone was dissatisfied. The service was very nice, the other staff rather the opposite. Not recommended, the manager is not worthy of his profession.

Had ordered a tarte flambée, the tomatoes on it were not consumable. I've never eaten anything so disgusting in my life.

Very pleasant place with great food and separate smoking area. Bar with great selection.

A very nice evening. Excellent map and very good quality. For the offered multi-course menu the price is absolutely fine. Service is very nice and pleasant, is on special requests and has no incompatibilities with no problems. Highly Recommended; we will be back....

Family celebration with 20 people Very friendly staff that really took care of everything. All exceptions and requests for the food were taken into account ... even just in time. The menu sequence was suitably matched. Did really good! Lovely again!

Badly organized service, very slow with the waitress getting the order wrong. Lightly soft dessert with massed cream. Bad quality / price ratio.

The food was good, the selection not so exhilarating.

Service was great and deserves more stars. Tastes are different, but crafting (cooking in this case) should be extra special, especially if you offer something special to the outside world. It was not. Beef fillet medium fried: No indication, mushrooms of the season (is it season?) As a side dish not freshly fried, but roasted and salted, which is the logical consequence of this preparation. For the called price if everything fits, like today: no go. Unfortunately.

Goods to eat because everything was great. Almost alone in the restaurant. Waiter was a dream 3 course meal per person for 30 € Was very much and there was still delicious before the first course have a total of 4 drinks € 75 paid great price for the fine kitchen. All in all a successful evening. Restaurant I can only recommend it as insider tip and sometimes erlich in other restaurants in Chemnitz until you have at 3 courses at the price but not the fine kitchen or the quiet at the food "Mensa leaves greetings" I think it's just a shame that the restaurant as a hotel restaurant simply underestimated.
